Returning for another edition, The Vietnam Barista Competition 2025 (VBC) aims to find and connect new Barista talents, promoting growth in Vietnam’s coffee industry. Besides, it provides opportunities to learn and exchange between Baristas and judges with professional experience, creating an environment that promotes research and innovation.

1. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION PARTICIPANTS 

1.1. PARTICIPANTS

1.1.1. National Qualifications 

The Vietnam Barista Competition (VBC) is a competition open to all baristas within Vietnam. 

1.1.2. Age requirement 

Competitors must be at least 18 years of age at the time of competition and must be working for a Café or Restaurant that serves coffee. 

1.1.3 Nationality and Documents

Competitors must be Vietnamese citizens and hold valid passports.

1.2. APPLICATION 

Candidates must complete the registration form with a personal photo (not taken more than 6 months) before the deadline and submit it before 23:59 , February 28th 2025. 

1.3. TERMS & CONDITIONS 

Registers and Champion of VBC is a visible spokesperson of the Vietnam Barista Competition and role model of the specialty coffee industry, and as such must permit SES Vietnam Exhibition Services Pte Ltd., and Barista School Co Ltd., its sponsors to use the competitor’s name, image or likeness in any format without charge for any business purpose, including but not limited to marketing promotion. 

1.4. ENFORCEMENT OF RULES AND REGULATIONS

The VBC will employ these Rules & Regulations throughout the competition. If a competitor violates one or more of these Rules & Regulations, they shall be automatically disqualified from the competition, except when the Rules designate a specific enforcement or consequence. If a judge or competition organizer causes the violation of one or more of these Rules, a competitor may submit an appeal, according to the process detailed in the section “Competitor Protest and Appeals.” 

2. ABOUT THE COMPETITION 

First Prize: 10,000,000 VND + trophy + certificate + gift from sponsor. 

Second Prize: 7,000,000 VND + trophy + certificate + gift from sponsor. 

Third Prize: 5,000,000 VND + trophy + certificate + gift from sponsor. 

Top 5: Gifts from sponsors + Certificate of attendance. 

3. ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS

3.1. Attire

Contestants must wear professional, clean attire and an apron during the competition.

3.2. Equipment Use

Only equipment and ingredients are only allowed to be used within the competition area. Tools are not allowed to be placed outside the designated area.

3.3. Protests

Contestants have the right to protest in writing within 24 hours of the end of the competition via email to the organizer.
